Notes For Norfolk County Music Festival 2010
Dear Entrant,
I am the official accompanist for the singers in Norfolk County Music Festival (NCMF). I may also be able to accompany other categories if the class times do not clash with the singers (but please see FEES section below).
As I will not be here for some of the time up to mid February I have arranged a way for you to book rehearsals in Norwich on-line through my website.
Please read the notes below before you proceed to book a slot.
(The link to the booking page is at the bottom)
Thank you for your cooperation and I look forward to accompanying you,
David
Booking a Rehearsal
I have arranged rehearsals at the Chapel, 64 Park Lane, Norwich from 10 a.m. on the 27th February. You can book as many 15-minute slots as you need (preferably consecutively so that there are no gaps). Rehearsals at other times can be arranged privately at my home by email.
Music
Please stick any photocopied songs together with sellotape: A4 to A4.
Please write your name and class number on the music and your name on the envelope.
Please look at the repertoire list (songs or instrumental accompaniment) to see if I have already played your song(s). If it is on this list you will not need to send me music but make sure you let me know which songs you are doing.
Postage
If you are sending music to my address please make sure you have paid the right postage. Bear in mind that more than one song in an A4 envelope will probably cost more than a 1st class stamp and if you are not sure, do take it to the post office and get them to weigh it.
Last year I had to drive to several times to the Post Office to pay excess postage and collect the music. I would like to avoid this!
My Address
Wood Farm Bungalow,

Fees
As an official accompanist for the singers’ classes, NCMF pay for my time during the festival but you would be expected to pay for rehearsals with me. The fee for this is £30 per hour pro rata. If your music is particularly difficult and takes me a lot of work to learn it I may ask you to pay more but this is rare. If you are an instrumentalist NCMF do not pay for my time at the festival so I would charge for this – this will be minimal unless I have to spend a lot of time driving.
If you are having technical problems with the booking form please contact Paul McAlenan – see below.
